Vision

THE VISION

Our vision is to share Christ's love through the provision of quality, affordable, and compassionate surgical care to the people of northern Madagascar.

As part of this vision, we seek to empower national surgical trainees through professional mentorship and spiritual discipleship so that they can be equipped to work and live for Christ in their own communities.

THE STRATEGY

In order to reduce surgical disease in Madagascar and Africa in an effective and sustainable way, African doctors need quality training. As a Canadian-trained surgeon, the most valuable transferable asset for surgical trainees is surgical experience and knowledge bundled in the hope of Christ.

Surgical trainees and staff have families and we also want to come alongside them so that we can engage in meaningful, lasting relationships. Together we want to be the church in a community in need of improved healthcare.

We are partnering with the Good News Hospital to increase its surgical capacity through knowledge, experience, and manpower, while at the same time training Malagasy doctors to become surgeons through the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) residency training program
. The PAACS program mentors trainees in biblical principles as well as surgical skills.

Our first surgical trainees began their training in January, 2022!
